Subject:- Special Recruitment Drive for filling up backlog reserved vacancies for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes - reg.

The undersigned is directed to refer to this Department’s OM of even number dated 26th July 2011 whereby the Special Recruitment Drive for filling up backlog reserved vacancies for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes was re-launched and all Ministries/Departments were requested to fill up the remaining backlog vacancies by 31st March, 2012. The Cabinet has to be apprised about outcome of the Drive.

Central Civil Services (Leave) (Third Amendment) Rules, 2012.

NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 4th April, 2012.
G.S.R…..- In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to article 309 read with clause (5) of article 148 of the Constitution and after consultation with the Comptroller and Auditor General of India in relation to persons serving in the Indian Auditor and Accounts Department, the President hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Central Civil Services (Leave) Rules, 1972, namely:-

1. (1) These rules may be called the Central Civil Services (Leave) (Third Amendment) Rules, 2012.
(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
2. In the Central Civil Services (Leave) Rules, 1972, (hereinafter referred to as the said rules), in rules 43-AA, the existing "Note" shall be numbered as "Note I" and after Note I as so renumbered, the following note shall be inserted, namely :-
Note 2:- "Child" for the purpose of this rule will include a child taken as ward by the Government servant, under the Guardians and Wards Act, 1890 or the personal law applicable to that Government servant, provided such a ward lives with the Government servant and is treated as a member of the family and provided such Government servant has, through a special w

Central Civil Services (Leave) (Amendment) Rules, 2012.

GSR.......(E) .... In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to article 309 read with clause (5) of article 148 of the Constitution and after consultation with the Comptroller and Auditor General of India in relation to the persons serving in the Indian Audit and Accounts Department, the President hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Central Civil Services (Leave) Rules, 1972, namely:-

I. (i) These rules may be called the Central Civil Services (Leave) (Amendment) Rules, 2012.

(2) They shall come into force on the date of theìr publication in the Official Gazette.

FAQ from Dopt : Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) on the policy of reservation to Persons with Disabilities

Q.1 What is poicy of the Government on reservation for Persons with Disabilities? 
Ans :Reservation to Persons with Disabilities is provided in line with the provisions of the Persons with Disabilities (Equal Opportunities, Protection of Rights and Full Participation) Act, 1995, in posts and services under the Government of India.
Three percent of the vacancies in case of direct recruitment to Group A,B,C and D posts shall be reserved for persons with disabilities  of which one per cent each shall be reserved for persons suffering from (i) blindness or low vision (ii) hearing impairment and (iii) locomotor disability or cerebral palsy in the posts identified for each disability; 
Three per cent of vacancies in case of promotion to Group D and Group C posts in which the element of direct recruitment, if any, does not exceed 75% shall be reserved for persons with disabilities of which one per cent each shall be reserved for persons suffering from (i) blindness or low vision (ii) hearing impairment and (iii) locomotor disability of cerebral palsy in the posts identified for each disability.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAOs) on the policy of reservation to Persons with Disabilities

Q.1 What is poicy of the Government on reservation for Persons with Disabilities? 
Ans :Reservation to Persons with Disabilities is provided in line with the provisions of the Persons with Disabilities (Equal Opportunities, Protection of Rights and Full Participation) Act, 1995, in posts and services under the Government of India.
Three percent of the vacancies in case of direct recruitment to Group A,B,C and D posts shall be reserved for persons with disabilities  of which one per cent each shall be reserved for persons suffering from (i) blindness or low vision (ii) hearing impairment and (iii) locomotor disability or cerebral palsy in the posts identified for each disability;
